Welcome!
We are a team of five 12 and 13 year olds who have been working together since March 2019, straight after the Christchurch attacks. We were so horrified about the attacks and decided we needed to do something to connect young people and celebrate diversity, so that something like this can never happen again in Aotearoa.
We created a pack of Strength Cards, with the aim of using these to help young people get to know their strengths and have curious conversations with others about their Strengths too.
Our hope is that by doing this, people will realize that our differences are nothing to be feared, and that we can be diverse and kind and united.
Covid-19 has made us quickly develop our idea to connect young people over these scary times. Now, more than ever, we must connect and unite and support each other. In doing so we will create a fairer, kinder more connected world.
We have created an instagram account @uniteinstrength which will show videos everyday of young people and celebrities from around NZ, holding a Strength Card and explaining why they are proud to have that Strength and sharing a piece of art or music that shows this strength.
Go to Share your Strength or Visit our instagram @uniteinstrength to see how you can be part of this movement!
Let's unite, and be kind
